Y eso está en la finalidad de lo que una función es,
figurarse qué hacer con ese algo.

Estoy en una ciudad de lo más exótica. Es un lugar que me recuerda el sitio aquel que en algún momento imaginé pero en el que nunca antes había estado. Por el balcón abierto oigo ríos de autos y sirenas que corren durante el día, de este a oeste, de norte a sur y viceversa. En el barrio que se extiende detrás del departamento hay un parque con numerosos árboles, camellones y edificios que parecen precipitarse hacia alguna parte. Al fondo de la calle puede verse un cerro a través de la neblina.
La criba no es un eliminador y sí. A través de ella se acumula, se deshace y se selecciona. Las cosas pueden transformarse así, con sólo un par de herramientas a la mano. Muchas cosas pasan a través del día y uno debe elegir. Como ahora, este momento, en el que estaría muy bien apagar la luz y meterse en la cama con la ventana abierta.

I always thought that something can be done that seems
to be functional but that when you try to use it
and when you use it you cannot appear which would be that function. And that is in the purpose than a function it is, to imagine what to do with that something.

I am in a most exotic city. It is a place that reminds me of that one which I once imagined but where I had never been before. Through the balcony I hear streams of cars and horns which run during the day from east to west, from north to south and vice versa. In the neighborhood which lies behind the apartment there is a park with many trees, median strips and buildings which seem to precipitate somewhere. At the end of the street, through the mist, a hill can be seen.
The sieve is not meant to be an eliminator and somehow, it is. Through it we can accumulate, undo and select. Many things can thus be transformed, with just a pair of tools at hand. Many things happen in a day and one must choose. Like now, when it would be just fine to turn off the light and slip into bed with an open window.
